Micheal (User)Patrick Keohane (1879-1950)
I am an author currently researching a new book about Polar exploration and would like to make contact with Clan members who have information about Patrick Keohane from West Cork who accompanied Captain Scott on the 1910-13 Terra Nova expedition.
I am particulalry interested in Keohane's early life and events after returning from the expedition in 1913. I would also like to obtain any photographs of Patrick from his early and later life for reproduction in the book.

My Name is Micheal Keohane i live in australia my father and his father are from Ireland.
My father - john francis keohane
His Father - Dan keohane from just out side of waterford i remember.
my dad married rita edith keohane ( dowsett english ) after the war her
i have seen the coat of arms he has it has a grypon ( half lion half eagle on a red sheild with a gold fish with a trumpet in its fin. i have only seen this once when we were in the family cottage just up from the river souir i think from memeory can you halp me trace my orogins further.

Just wondering if there have been any Keohane reunions since 2006?
Are there any plans for 2009?
We have a group of Keohanes looking to go to Ireland in the summer of 2009, any ideas? or plans for a reunion?

Yes I was hoping there would be some activity going on - its slowing down on here a bit isn't it? I wouldn't be able to go anyways but it would be good if everyone got together and helped with research and questions - it could be useful to everyone!

I am named after my grandfather, John Stephen Keohane born 12/26/1892 in Ballymacward, Eire. His parents were Lawrence Joseph Keohane and Catherine Crehan. Catherine was possibly from Gallway, and had possibly siblings, Mathew and Aonova.
Does anyone have relavent information? Is there a geneology tree of the early family?
